Becoming a Barkers Managing Consultant means joining an award-winning team who are proud to support each other across a wide range of outstanding clients from a variety of industry sectors. We are driven by a desire to ensure that procurement within the clients’ organisation is not only impactful to the bottom line, but also supports the business strategy and delivers where it really matters. We do this by working in partnership with our clients. We work constructively and collaboratively to understand their range of needs to develop and implement solutions. We also upskill the existing teams creating sustainable and high performing procurement functions, delivering sustainable and lasting benefits to our clients.

Job requirements
About You
- You are passionate about procurement – this is what drives us every day
- You have experience of working across a range of industry sectors, delivering successful and creative procurement & supply chain solutions
- Quality and delighting the customer are the heart of what you do
- You are passionate about social value and sustainability and the impact it has both within procurement and wider society
- You are a self-starter that can both thrive whilst working alone but also loves working as part of a wider team, sharing knowledge and ideas. We believe the whole really is greater than the sum of the parts.
- You are motivated, engaged and able to take on both the role of the consultant and delivery expert.
- You have the skills to help clients understand and articulate their needs, setting strategies and developing TOMs.
- You roll up your sleeves and get involved with data analysis, tender development, and outstanding supplier negotiations
- You have the skills to really communicate what matters to suppliers, customers and across the Barkers team, using a range of channels
- You are super curious, prepared to challenge ideas and be challenged and are constantly looking to develop your own skills, knowledge and learning
- You can reflect and take a wider view of the situation, using both your experience and knowledge to make sound and impactful decisions
- You are ready to contribute and be a key part of a fast growing and award-winning consultancy
